Little Lysander

Lysander, at somewhere between 8-10 years old. Still a cute little Purrloin kitten at this age <333

This is one of the only moments in his childhood that the cat can remember as being something he could label 'fun.'

"Look mother look! A butterfly has landed on me!" the little purrloin would cry, giggling at the bright blue bug that had alighted on his fingers. "That's nice Lysander." his mother would reply rather monotone, raising an eye at her son's antics. The kitten would only giggle more as another landed upon his head. "aren't they rather nice?" he'd ask, tail swaying happily. "Of course Lysander. But they aren't clean, rid yourself of them." The purrloin's ears would droop a little at the prospect of stopping his moment with the delightful little creatures, but he would nod to her. "Alright mother...but could I perhap-fh..Choowh!" he would sneeze as he attempted to complete his sentence, the butterflies quickly taking their leave of the kitten. "Lysander..?" his mother's attention would return to him, the woman's gaze lit with slight worry. "I'm alright moth-" his sentence would cut off, several more sneezes coming from him. At this, the woman would quickly scoop him up and wipe his face, moving rather swiftly from the area. Sniffling and rubbing at his nose, the purrloin would look up at her confusedly. "Mother..? Why are we leaving so fast?" To which she would reply rather sternly, "You must be allergic to something in that grass. We aren't coming back here." before stowing him away in their ride home, and departing from the bright field, never to return to it. Much as the feline may have thought, or wondered of the wonderful place, he'd never see it again, even into his years as an adult. Though sight of blue butterflies would always evoke a strange feeling of joy within him.
